Great night of football last Friday night under lights for the u/8s against GB Rovers, both sides were very even and lots of fun was had.
Saturday 13th November
U/10 Boys
Our u/10 Boys travelled to Breska Rovers on Saturday where they played two very entertaining games. Great passing and football was played by both sides.
U/16 Boys League Cup
Askeaton 4-4 Athea Utd

Our u/16 boys were narrowly defeated 3-2 on penalties after a thrilling 4-4 draw after full time. The boys put on a fantastic display against a strong Division 2 side with goals from John Connors, Terry Harty, Zach Birdthistle and Michael James Harty.

Ladies League Division 1
Feenagh 2-2 Askeaton AFC
Our ladies travelled to Feenagh on Sunday and the weather was perfect for a game. Kate Neville had them 1-0 up after 20 minutes. Feenagh levelled the score after 65 minutes but 2 minutes later Kate scored her second goal of the game. Feenagh went on and levelled things again when they scored with 6 minutes left to play. Our ladies piled on the pressure and were very unlucky not to score when Anna Mockler hit the crossbar on the 81st minute. All our ladies played very well and it was a great game.
ASKEATON AFC 50/50 SPLIT THE POT!!
Our Split the Pot draw was held last Tuesday, November 9th in SuperValu Askeaton. The winner of €188 was Brendan McCarthy. Congratulations Brendan.
Split the Pot is our weekly fundraiser for Askeaton Football Club. You can enter by writing your name and contact number on the envelope and place your €2 into the envelope. The envelope should be placed into one of the buckets located in SuperValu, Centra, Askeaton Post Office, Top of the Town Bar, Cagney’s Bar, Shanahan’s Shop, Boss Barbers, Askeaton Soccer Pitch. You can also purchase envelopes online at www.askeatonafc.ie The draw is held every Tuesday evening in SuperValu Askeaton. Half of the money entered into the draw is given in prize money and the other half goes towards funding activities for our club. We thank you all for your continued support of this fundraising initiative, it is very much appreciated.
